On Friday, March 15, 2019, I sold three items on eBay.
1. A Rex Humbard KJV Prophecy Bible sold with a Best Offer AND a Promoted Listing at 1%.
I believe this Bible was in a box lot that I had bought at the auction house. Bibles are good sellers, but be sure to note any issues including writing and folding of pages. And flip through the pages to see might have been left behind.
2. A Robert Indiana Love Gold-Tone Pin sold via Best Offer to someone outside of the United States.
I don’t normally list pins, especially one-offs, on eBay anymore, and place them on our website instead (visit https://fazoom.com/pin-backs). But I decided to give this pin one cycle since there was no competition and it’s a fairly popular subject matter.
I bought it at the auction house on Wednesday, listed it on Wednesday, and sold it on Friday, so that was a fairly fast seller making eBay a good call.
3. Our third sale of the day was a Grossery Grocery Gang Time Wars Powered Up Gooey Chewie Action Figure that was a retail arbitrage pickup. It sold at the asking price which was on a 10% sale PLUS through a 1% promoted listing.
This was listed on February 22nd, so it took exactly 3 weeks to sell.
Mid-March Sales Snapshot
Across all platforms, our February sales were down 53% from January sales. March sales are mimicking February sales right now. Talking to other resellers, this is what a lot of people are seeing.
Is it the economy or the platforms? That’s to be determined. But what I do know is that our sales are down around 50% from February & March 2018 AND we have 4 times more products listed this year.
